Course Description

Simulations Training Managers Course

Outcomes:

  • Provides students an introductory level understanding of how to build Company and Battalion level training plans to meet the Required Performance Measures (RPM) prior to live fire training events.
  • Certifies students to conduct exportable training packages as they relate to simulations i.e. Track Crew Progression, COFT/AGTS Instructor Operator, PAAR training.

Scope: The Gunnery Simulations Training Management Course trains Soldiers assigned to Armor Brigade Combat Teams and Stryker Brigade Combat Teams to manage simulation training for stabilized and Mounted Machine Gun platforms. Initial training will include Mounted Machine Gun Gunnery scenario development utilizing the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST). Second training module will cover AGTS, MGS AGTS, and COFT-SA manager’s functions, track crew progression, system troubleshooting, and PAAR capabilities or VBS3 scenario development based on platform specific student needs. The final module will cover Unit Training Plans and Exportable Training packages certifying students to train peers and subordinates at their home station.

COFT Senior Managers Functions: Provides platform specific instruction on Senior Managers functions on the following systems:

  • AGTS
    • Sec/Plt PAAR
    • System Administration
  • MGS AGTS
    • Sec/Plt PAAR
    • System Administration
  • COFT-SA
    • System Administration

Mounted Machine Gun Gunnery Simulation:

  • Certifies students on EST 2000 system
  • Instructs students how to build Gunnery Table II compliant scenarios to conform to new doctrine.

Live Virtual Constructive-Gaming (LVC-G):
Understanding that in a resource constrained environment Simulations and live fire can be integrated. Involving Mission Command systems, individual, crew, and collective training to be conducted simultaneously

Training Management:
