Waiver Process

  1. WAIVERS (MINUS MEDICAL AND/OR AGE) MUST BE SUBMITTED NLT 75 DAYS PRIOR TO THE CLASS START DATE.

  2. WAIVERS FOR MEDICAL AND/OR AGE REQUIREMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED NLT 90 DAYS PRIOR TO CLASS START DATE.

  3. ANY WAIVERS SUBMITTED OUTSIDE THE TIMEFRAME MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH A LETTER OF LATENESS SIGNED BY O-5 OR HIGHER. ****NO EXCEPTIONS

  4. WAIVERS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE HIGHER HEADQUARTERS SCHOOL NCO (REPRESENTATIVE) ONLY. ****NO EXCEPTIONS


The Infantry School Commandant is the waiver approval authority for this course.

Students requesting course/phase prerequisite waivers (e.g. AOC/MOS, Rank/Grade, Medical/Physical Standards, etc.) or units requesting changes to POI content (e.g. during "on site" course conducts (MTT) request to delete/modify lessons/blocks of instruction, shortage of equipment, etc.) will submit their request through the first LTC Commander in their chain of command to:

Please be advised that the first step to submitting a waiver is to determine the type of waiver you need. Failure to submit ALL required forms will delay processing!

  1. HIPAA release form (DD Form 2870)
  2. Medical and/or Age waiver request form (click here) signed by first O-5 in Chain of Command
  3. Complete Airborne Physical (DD Form 2807 and 2808) (minus EKG if Age is 35 years and under)
  4. Up to date EKG if Age is 36 years and older
  5. An Enlisted Record Brief (ERB) or Officer Record Brief (ORB)
  6. Current paragraph and line number documentation with current duty position annotated (MTOE/TDA).

Note: If submitting a medical waiver it must be accompanied by a PT card demonstrating that the student meets the physical requirements of the school and must by dated within the last 30 days.

No High Performance Jump Waivers will be accepted! They can go through proper procedures on home base or proper documentation submitted to the Post G3 Operations to be able to do guest jump with the BAC.

SM's who do not have the proper paperwork while in-processing will be placed at the end of the line. SM's need to have all equipment required according to the packing list (No Exceptions) unless they are an International student.

Must have the following items to attend the course:
Hazardous Duty Orders & Jump Log
At least 12 month's time on jump status
12 High Performance Jumps
Approved Airborne Physical within the past 5 years
Airborne Graduation Certificate
