Mission

The mission of the Special Assistant to the Commanding General - Army National Guard (SACG-ARNG) is as follows:

  • The Senior Guard Advisor serves as the principle assistant to the Commanding General for all Reserve Component (RC) training and assists in the development of the full spectrum of Infantry training for the Army. Proponent for all Army National Guard (ARNG) Infantry matters.
  • The SACG Directorate provides advice, training, and doctrine development to the USAIC for ARNG and USAR Soldiers, units and trainers through the Warrior Training Center, LNO support and Training & Doctrine Development.

Maneuver Focus is a quarterly newsletter published by the Special Assistant to the Commanding General (SACG) at Fort Benning, GA. The SACG Directorate is the proponent for all Army National Guard Infantry matters in training development for The Army.
