Soldier must be serving in the Active Army, Reserve, or National Guard Component, must be in the rank of SGT thru SFC, not on profile that will not allow them to participate in live fire training, eyesight correctable to 20/20 with issued glasses, height and weight IAW AR 600-9, current AFT within 30 days of the course start date (DA 5500 if required), current 7801 within Army regulation, and have no family/personal/legal issues that will require early dismissal.
The Infantry School Commandant is the waiver approval authority.
Students requesting course/phase prerequisite waivers (e.g. AOC/MOS, Rank/Grade, Medical/Physical Standards, etc.) or units requesting changes to POI content (e.g. during "on site" course conducts (MTT) request to delete/modify lessons/blocks of instruction, shortage of equipment, etc.) will submit their request through the first LTC Commander in their chain of command to:
