Lodging and Reporting


The goal is to lodge all Army military students on post. Under PAL (Privatization of Army Lodging) students with a Valid ATRRS Reservation will have a room in Abrams Hall that is paid for by the ARMY. Students without a valid reservation in a class can stay in Abrams Hall, but will have to pay their own way (lodging and meals). Students enrolled in the following courses will report to Building 1670, Abrams Hall, Main Post, for in processing and housing assignment:

  • M1A2 SEP Master Gunner
  • Cavalry Leader Course
  • M1A2 SEP Tank Commanders Course
  • Bradley Master Gunner
  • Bradley commander Course
  • Scout Leader Course
  • Maneuver Leader Maintenance Course

All students reporting with a valid ATRRS reservation in a TDY status (not on Fort Benning) are covered under the Institutional Training Directed Lodging and Meals (ITDLM) Policy. Government lodging and meals are provided at no cost to the Soldier.

Students will report to the Thurman Room (Room 241), BLDG 5145, Harmony Church, Ft. Benning, GA on the first day of training NLT 0800 in duty uniform. The first day of training is the "Start Date" in ATRRS. Early reporting is not required.

Directions to Patton Hall BLDG 5145: Students using the Fort Benning Main Post entrance will proceed to the intersection with 1st Division Road. Veer right on 8th Division Road and continue onward, past the gas station and over the overpass. In 300 yards turn left on Ninth Armored Division Road down the hill into the car park. The General Instruction Facility is the first building on the right as you enter the Armor School complex. Turn right and park in the front of the building on your right. The welcome room is on the second floor of the building at the 9th Armored Division Road end of the building.
