Purpose

Train and educate select personnel to effectively oversee, guide, and support unit leaders in the development and execution of Group 1 Small Unmanned Operator Training Program (OTP)

Course Scope

SUAS MT is a three-week course focused on the development of personnel to serve as a unit Master Trainer with the responsibility of training and certifying operators, advising leaders on the techniques, procedures and employment of Army Group 1 Small Unmanned Aircraft in unit level training and combat operations (Intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance). Graduates are awarded the following: Enlisted and Warrant Officers Additional Skill Identifier (ASI) U2 and Officers will be awarded Skill Identifier (SI) U2.

Course Outcome

Assist the Commander with development, implementation and management of the Unit Training Program (UTP) for SUAS. Train new SUAS operators, sustain current operators, and requalify operators. Assist the Commander with the tactical employment of SUAS during Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).
