FOR LOST, STOLEN MISPLACED USIDs AND SERVICE MEMBER CAC A MILITARY POLICE REPORT OR LOCAL POLICE STATION REPORT IS NEEDED TO REPLACE THE LOST, STOLEN OR MISPLACED USID OR CAC.

The Main Post ID Card office hours of operation for the 1st, 2nd and 4th weeks of the month are Monday-Friday 0730-1600. The hours of operation for the 3rd week of the month is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 0730-1600. Closed all day the 3rd Wednesday of the month for training. We are also closed on all Federal Holidays. Additionally, we are closed on the following dates: 17 Jun, 1 July, 2 Sept. 25 Nov and 26 Dec.

The following provides the priority of service for ID Card/DEERS assistance.

We will issue CACs/USID on a walk in basis at the Soldier for Life Center, Bldg. 9230 on the dates listed above from 0730-1130 or until capacity is met based on the priority listed below. Afternoons are reserved for appointments only and emergencies which will be handled on a case by case basis.

  • Priority 1 - Active Duty, DACs, CTRs
  • Priority 2 - Full Time College Students (21 yrs.) and Soldiers retiring from active duty within 7 days
  • Priority 3 - Retiree and Family Member ID Cards
  • Priority 4 – Promotions

We will issue CACs only on a walk-in basis at the Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) Center, Bldg. 2295 from 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday except on the 3rd Wednesday of each month(Closed for Training) based on the priority listed below. This is limited daily service. Once we reach the maximum number we can assist, no additional personnel will be allowed

  • Priority 1 - Active Duty, DACs, CTRs (Lost, Stolen, Confiscated, Expired or expiring within 21 days)
  • Priority 1 - Single Soldiers in-processing and need a CAC/ID Tags
  • Priority 2 - New Hires (DACs and CTRs)

Installation Main ID Card Facility


Welcome to the MPD's ID Card Section!

We are pleased to provide quality customer services to the best Soldiers, retirees, family members, and government civilian and contractors in the world. This military personnel service function involves processing eligibility entitlements through DEERS (Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System) and ID Cards/ CAC cards for Soldiers, retirees, their family members, civilian employees and some contractors.

The ID Card Office is located in The Soldier for Life Center, building 9230 next to the commissary. Hours of operation are from 0730-1130, 1300-1600., Monday-Friday the 1st, 2nd and 4th weeks of the month. Closed the 3rd Wednesday of the month for training. To schedule an appointment go online to ID Card Office Online (osd.mil). ID cards may be renewed 90 days prior to expiration date.

When you come, you must bring the following documents: two forms of UNEXPIRED IDs; one must be a picture ID, IDs must be Federal or State IDs only, no Concealed Carry Permits. Identity documents we can use: Driver's License with a valid date or MILITARY written in where a date should be. Passport, Social Security Card, Voters Registration Card. A Police report is needed for a lost or stolen USID and Military CAC. Civilian lost or stolen CAC a Memorandum from CPAC is needed to replace the lost CAC. Lost Contractor CAC must have a Memorandum from Trusted Agent.

Identity documents we can us., Passport, Social Security card, Voters registration card. Contract employees must be entered into TASS by their trusted agent. CACs will be serviced at 6870 Indianhead Road Bldg. 2295; Mon-Thurs-0730-1130/1300-1600. Closed the 3rd Wednesday of every month. CACS are serviced at Bldg 9230 by appointment or on Fridays during office hours.

In order to initiate initial DEERS enrollment, you will need the following:

  • 2 forms of ID (one must be a current UNEXPIRED picture ID, local state or government agency (no Concealed carry Permits), driver's license with a valid date or MILTARY written in where a date should be. DL's with 00-00-0000 as a date are not valid and cannot be used., Passport, Social Security card, Voters registration card)Social Security card or letter from the Social Security Administration with the Social security number printed on the letter.
  • Marriage and Birth certificate (must be original document with seal intact or certified copy with seal; birth certificate can be a confirmation of birth letter from the hospital for newborns) Power of Attorney if sponsor is not available (Power of Attorney must be original with raised seal; Special POA must specify for DEERS enrollment/ update and ID Card issuance) Divorce decree signed by the judge with legible file numbers Adding Stepchildren --- original marriage certificate (even if the mother is enrolled in DEERS), original birth certificate, and original social security card or letter from Social Security Administration Office with the Social security number printed on the letter.

In order to initiate initial DEERS enrollment, you will need the following:

  • Two forms of UNEXPIRED ID of your spouse one must be a valid picture ID, Federal or State ID (no Concealed carry Permits), Driver's License with a valid date or MILITARY written in where a date should be. Identity documents we can use: Passport, Social Security card, or Voters registration card. Letter from the Social Security Administration with the Social security number printed on the letter may also be used
  • Marriage Certificate and Spouse's Birth Certificate must be an original document with seal intact or certified copy with seal. The spouse can enroll self with a Power of Attorney if sponsor is not available Power of Attorney must be original with raised seal; Special POA must specify for DEERS enrollment/ update and ID Card issuance. Adding Stepchildren --- original marriage certificate (even if the mother is enrolled in DEERS), original birth certificate, and original Social Security Card or letter from Social Security Administration Office with the Social security number printed on the letter.

In order to initiate initial DEERS enrollment, you will need the following:

Sponsor must bring in the original Birth Certificate and Social Security card. If the Social Security card has not been received the child can still be enrolled with the original birth certificate, a temporary Social Security number will be issued. Once the Social Security card is received the Sponsor must bring in the card to update the child’s record.

ID cards can be renewed 90 days prior to the expiration of a valid ID Card. For an appointment, call 706-545-9085, or go online to: ID Card Office Online (osd.mil) to schedule an appointment.

If you have forgotten or have been locked out your CAC PIN, go to 6870 Indianhead Road Bldg. 2295; Mon-Thurs-0730-1130/1300-1600. Friday’s Only come to the Main Post ID Card Office located at 8150 Marne Road Bldg. 9230. Both locations are Closed the 3rd Wednesday of the month.

The following are the items that you will need when a Retiree / Family member comes in for an appointment:
Two forms of UNEXPIRED ID one must be a valid picture ID, State or Federal ID (no Concealed carry Permits), Driver's License with a valid date or MILITARY written in where a date should be. Passport, Social Security card, Voters registration card. The Sponsor must be present, or a Power of Attorney can be used when the sponsor is not available (Power of Attorney must be original with raised seal; Special POA must specify for DEERS enrollment / update and ID Card issuance.

If you need to update your address in DEERS, go to ID Card Office Online (osd.mil) click on My Profile to update your address.

The DD Form 1172-2 for the authorization to renew the Family Member's ID Cards can be digitally signed.

The Sponsor can print the Family List for the purposes of Housing, High School Stabilization and for the AER

ID Card Office Online ID Card Office Online (osd.mil) allows the Sponsor to digitally signed the 1172-2 authorizing the renewal of the USID.

ID Card Office Online ID Card Office Online (osd.mil) allows the Sponsor to print family list for the purposes of housing, High School Stabilization and for the AER Scholarship package.

Retirees must use their DS log on to access the 1172-2.
