Cultural Resources Management

Cultural Resources Management (CRM) at the installation supports Federal requirements for the conservation of archeological sites and historic structures on the installation Reservation. This is consistent with and in support of the training mission of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence. Proposed activities on the installation, such as training and construction, are reviewed through completion of the installation Form 144-R, Record of Environmental Consideration which is submitted to the Environmental Programs Management Branch of the Environmental Management Division of the Directorate of Public Works (DPW). Should you have any questions or comments regarding the cultural resources, you can contact the installation's archeologist by email or at 706-545-4211, or the installation's architectural historian at 706-545-1298.

These requirements include: National Historic Preservation Act, Archeological Resources Preservation Act, Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act. Please be advised that archeological sites on the installation, both prehistoric and historic, are protected properties. Vandalism or looting of these protected properties is a felony and punishable by fines, imprisonment, and confiscation of property.
