The installation Clean Water Act (CWA) Program, in accordance with local, state and Federal Laws, regulations and policies, protect waterways and storm sewer systems from contaminants and pollution which could result from construction, training, hazardous spills and other activities on the Installation. The CWA Program maintains compliance through the training, consultation and direct support of all installation units, directorates, tenants, and activities. All training, construction and other activities on the installation which may affect water quality must be approved though submission of the installation Form 144r - Record of Environmental Consideration: and can be accessed and submitted online Here (CAC required) 144r requests are reviewed and commented on by CWA Program personnel. Please review 144r comments thoroughly and contact the CWA Program Managers by email or at (706) 545-3604 (Email).CWA Program personnel conduct compliance inspections at facilities and construction sites. Announced and unannounced inspections are conducted in order to verify compliance. CWA Program personnel also provide emergency response for spills and the spill response team can be called or paged 24/7 at (706) 317-6584.
