Armor Basic Officer Leader Course (ABOLC)

Privately Owned Vehicles (POVs)

The chain of command strongly recommends that you bring a POV to the ABOLC. You will need the following:

  1. Proof of Insurance
  2. Vehicle Registration
  3. Valid Drivers License

Note: While driving your POV, as in everything you will do while at Fort Benning, you represent Saber Squadron, the 316 CAV BDE (Leader Development) Brigade, and the Officer Corps as a whole. It is important that you adhere to the posted speed limits as they vary during the day due to physical training and large numbers of Soldiers running on the roads. Keep a copy of your orders in the vehicle at all times. This is an issue of safety and discipline and violations will not be tolerated. Fort Benning No longer requires the usage of Military Stickers on the windshield of vehicles. A Valid Military Identification card is all that is required to gain access to Fort Benning.
