Description of Services: Provides education and training classes about child and spouse abuse prevention, safety education for children and pre-deployment briefings for Soldiers and their family members. Annual classes are mandatory for all military personnel on the dynamics of child and spouse abuse, the availability of treatment services and the Army’s policies regarding family violence. The FAP manager may provide crisis intervention to Soldiers and Family members in emergency situations. Cases involving family violence intervention needing long-term treatment and follow-ups are referred to Social Work Services.

Description of Services: There are two separate courses of treatment: spouse abuse and child abuse. The course of treatment for both includes individual, marital, family and group counseling. The child abuse program is integrated with various support services on and off post, to include collaboration with local Department of Family and Children Services. Marriage counseling is also offered for nonviolent incidents. Includes: Married Couples Group, Communications Class, Anger Management Class, Parenting Group, Gender Specific Groups.

Description of Services: A comprehensive program providing intervention and support services to victims of sexual harassment and assault, 24 hrs per day. Managed by the Installation Sexual Harassment and Assault Response Prevention Coordinator (SARC). The SARC or Victim Advocate (VA) are on call 24/7 at (706) 566-7393 to ensure victims are properly advised of their reporting options.

Description of Services: Special Victims Counsel (SVC) if you are the victim of sexual assault you may be entitled to a free SVC. The SVC will answer all questions you have about investigations and the legal process, including filing a restricted or unrestricted report. An SVC can accompany you at interviews, legal proceedings, and assist you with many other legal concerns. You may request a SVC at any time. Description of Services: Provides crisis intervention and support services to victims of sexual assault, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Provides a helping hand through support, critical information and referrals for services on Fort Benning and in the community. Provides education and awareness trainings to active duty members, family members, civilian and contractors on how to stay safe and what to do if assaulted.
