The Airborne Walk was completed in April, 1985 and dedicated April 17th, 1986, by then Secretary of the Army John S. Marsh, Jr. It serves as a tribute to every person who has been or ever will be Airborne qualified. The Airborne Walk is configured in the shape of the basic airborne wings with 28 monuments dedicated to the airborne units of the past. A centerpiece monument stands in the middle of the walk with the names of the original ParachuteTest Platoon members.
