Mission
The Concepts Development Division develops Maneuver Brigade concepts / Functional Appraisements (FA) to drive modernization. The FA describes how the future Maneuver Brigade may operate, describes the capabilities required to carry out the range of military operations against the pacing threat in the expected Operational Environment; and explain how a commander, using military art and science, might employ the formation and capabilities to achieve the desired effects and objectives.
