Although the vast majority of the American public supports Soldiers and has their best interests at heart, the harsh reality is some individuals and businesses seek to take advantage of and capitalize on young and uninformed Soldiers. Financially unstable and/or less established Soldiers are specifically targeted using unfair, deceptive and abusive tactics.

The best thing Soldiers can do to combat these tactics is to educate themselves on laws which were passed to protect them as consumers. A good place to begin would be to review our Fact Sheets and Information pages. Other valuable resources can be found at the links provided below.
