Day-to-day life in the 75th Ranger Regiment is very similar to that of a conventional Army unit. During a normal duty week Rangers will have nights and weekends off. Rangers will receive 30 days of leave per year and the Ranger Regiment enjoys numerous training holidays and long weekends in conjunction with most Federal Holidays. Rangers are afforded the opportunity to attend multiple military and civilian schools that compliment their Military Occupational Specialty.
Rangers are highly trained Soldiers and are led by the best leaders in the Army. The Rangers will participate in multiple, large-scale training exercises both in the United States and abroad every year to prepare them for their wartime mission. These training events are planned up to a year in advance, affording the Rangers the opportunity to plan significant events in their personal life around their military training schedules.
Single Rangers will live in new, modern, dorm-style barracks near where they work. Married Rangers will live in military quarters on their installation or they are afforded the opportunity to live in the local community. The Ranger Regiment is a family oriented organization with one of the best Family Readiness Groups in the Army. Families and spouses are invited to attend many unit functions and they receive routine updates from the Chain of Command regarding deployments and upcoming training events.
