Reconnaissance And Surveillance Leaders Course 2E-F173/011-ASI6B

Student Eligibility

  1. The Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leader Course is open to personnel meeting the requirements listed below:
    1. Rank: Active, Reserve, or National Guard Noncommissioned Officers in the ranks of SGT (E-5) through SFC (E-7) and Commissioned Officers in the ranks of 2LT (O-1) through CPT (O-3).
    2. MOS/CMF: DOD personnel assigned to or providing direct support to a reconnaissance or surveillance organizations, ARSOF, NSW, MARSOC, AFSOC, and law enforcement agencies.

  2. Personnel in other ranks and/or MOS/CMFs that meet all other prerequisites and wish to attend RSLC must submit a waiver request through the first O-6 in their chain of command to the USAIS NLT 75 days prior to the class start date. Waiver requests should be submitted by the student’s higher headquarters schools/training management representative using the waiver form below accompanied by the following documentation.

    United States Army Infantry School Waiver Form

    1. HIPAA release form (DD Form 2870)
    2. An Enlisted Record Brief (ERB) or Officer Record Brief (ORB)
    3. Current paragraph and line number documentation with current duty position annotated (MTOE/TDA).

  3. Waivers may be submitted electronically to usarmy.moore.mcoe.mbx.usais-training-waivers@army.mil or by mail to:

  4. Department of the Navy and Marine Corps Personnel: Contact the Fort Benning Marine Corps Detachment immediately upon interest in the course.
